Five of the best – Delete08
Planning weddings, and being very busy at work, is playing havok with my spare time, so updating blogs etc and getting out and about has been a rare event recently, hence the lack of activity from my end on here recently, so apologies. So with a spare hour on my hands, I’ve have time to address the balance somewhat. Here’s the latest offering from our feature about graffiti photographers called Five Of The Best. Recently we chatted with Delete08.
Name: Delete
Location: London based but getting out to France, USA, Spain, Italy as often as I can afford it.
Years snapping graff: Been taking pictures on and off since the mid-80′s but took a very long break until decent affordable digital cameras started to appear on the market around 2005 and then haven’t had a day off since! Started posting to Flickr in 2008 (which is why some people call me Delete08). I’m particularly interested in tracksides, edgelands and the out of reach plots that push you to climb one just more wall – and then just one more – to get the shot you want. I love the way graffiti can take you to places in the middle of a crowded city that very few people even realise exist.
Equipment: I take most of my pictures with an old Panasonic G1. It’s small and light enough so it doesn’t get in the way when climbing fences and in the dark it just seems to suck the light in. But as the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you – so sometimes it’s my phone.
When I looked back through my pictures to chose these I realised that pretty much 99% of the graff in them is gone now – even stuff I shot last week has either been buffed, dogged or burned – and that is one of the reasons I do this. I think it’s vital that walls are constantly changing but at the same time it’s great to have a record somewhere of all all that skill and creativity (and sometimes just the bottle).

Another of London’s top graffiti snappers is Lee102. Quiet and unassuming, his knowledge of the London graffiti scene is extensive after a decade of following the trail around the city for the best graffiti, throwies and dubs he can find. He always has the first pics from any of the numerous city spots.

Five Of The Best – ‘Graffiti Junkie’
Today’s ‘Five Of The Best’ photo feature is from one of London’s most respected graffiti documenters ‘Graffiti Junkie’.
For those of you who sit trawling through Flickr(like us) for hours on end, you’ll probably already be aware of Graffiti Junkie’s stream. For those of you who aren’t, get to know. We caught up with him for a quick interview.
Name: Graffiti Junkie
Location: East London
Years Snapping Graff: 3 years
Equiptment: Nikon D3100 Nikon D7000 various lenses
I’m actually an old skool East London writer who first painted as a school kid back in around 1982-83. I was always more into the bombing side of graff than actual piecing but I probably did about 50 pieces over a 3 or 4 year period. I left the whole graff scene behind when I discovered the London rave scene in around 1986. My story’s not that much different from most writers my age, lost the passion for graff in my late teens early twenties only to return to it in my late 30′s. I did have a bit of a paint up again but was never satisfied with my work so gradually found myself drawn towards documenting graff rather than painting it.
-admin- It was very hard trying to whittle down just 5 pictures from the dozen or so that Graffiti Junkie sent us as he has so many excellent pictures to choose from, (that’s why we used 6). We hope you like our final selection.

Enviados De Satan
EDS means Satan’s Sent. It was founded in 1995, so in a month it’s gonna be 18 years old. The crew started in Alicante, south east Spain. The first members were INCA (also known as SEZ,CAIN and the Candyman), ICER, MEYA and LOGAN (Seville’s finest tattoo artist). Then, crew started to grow… till this year when EDS Familia crosses borders with two new English members: MAYO and MEZ; and one writer from South Africa called POLIZEI. We touch all styles, wild, semi-wild,charos…and our stamp is the ideas of the walls: fear, drugs, violence, horror… because that’s life! Fuck Walt Disney.

MSK – Mad Society Kings – exclusive photos
So keyseventeen.com has recruited a new member of the team, you may have already guessed by our Facebook page which if your not already liking please click like at the right of the screen or alternatively check us out here.
To get to the point our new recruit takes a lot of good quality photo’s and whilst a few of us maybe waiting our time painting and catching flicks why we can, this man is constantly clicking and traveling a lot also he is one of the biggest supporters of the game I’ve met!
